What is a property listing?

Property Listing is the best way to show your property online. A Property Listing is a web page about your accommodation composed by a detailed description of the property and its features, some photos and a video, price details and other useful information needed to rent or exchange the property. Vacationers will see your property listing and will contact you to rent or exchange the property with their's. In the first phase owner creates a property listing and sees how the result looks like. The owner can do an unlimited number of modifications on the property listing, adding or removing photos, one property video and any property features. A well-descripted property listing statistically increases the number of bookings. In order to create a new listing, you should register at Vacation Rentals by Rentheworld Community and login into the system, using the username or email and the password chosen in the registration process. After the login phase, you will see an owner menu in the left sidebar. After a click on My Listings menu voice you will enter the user panel. Then click on new property listing button to start inserting info. Vacation Rentals by Rentheworld creates and updates everyday new tools to improve owner experience with the property listings. We work to increase the visibility of your property on the most important search engines and web communities all over the world.

How can I publish a new listing on RTW?

Publish a new listing on Vacation Rentals by Rentheworld is really simple. After the creation of a property listing, the owner shall add it to the cart and pay a 6 months fee. At the same time the owner can choose to change the listing type, upgrading it to Platinum Bundle.When one or more items are in the cart, the user can proceed to check out and pay for them, using our secure credit cart system. After a successful payment, the property listing is published.

What is an unpublished listing?

An unpublished listing is a property listing already created but without a payment for its publication. When a property listing is unpublished, only the owner can see it. An unpublished property listing is recognizable by a pink bar above the listing in the view display. The owner can publish an unpublished property listing at any time, making a 6 months payment. At the end of the paid period, if there are no renewals, the property listing will be again unpublished, only visible to the owner.

What is the listing expire date?

A listing expire date is the date after which the corresponding property listing becomes unpublished. The listing expire date is set every time an user makes a payment to publish or extend the duration of a listing.

What are the listing types 'Basic' and 'Platinum' ?

The listing type of a property listing is a set of features associated to each property listing. The differences between the listing types are related to the visibility gained by the corresponding property listing. The more your listing is visible on Vacation Rentals by Rentheworld Community, the more bookings you get. It is a statistically proven fact. Platinum listings have the best visibility: your listings will appear directly on home page map and other high-traffic pages of the community, such as the search page for vacations and the travel diaries pages. What is the 'All Inclusive' policy?

Vacation Rentals by Rentheworld gives owners the opportunity to simplify the booking process by specifying a price per week that includes all possible extra costs tied to the property rental. During the creation, the owner can choose 'All Inclusive' policy (or not) for each property listing. If a property adheres to the policy, the property listing will show a certificate for all inclusive price and, it's proved, the booking process will speed up.

What is PEP (Property Exchange Program)?

The property exchange program is an innovative offer in the field of vacation rentals. For each property listing, the owner can choose, during creation, to join property exchange program or not. If a property adheres to the program, the owners will get an important benefit for free. From this moment onwards, the owner can contact or be contacted by other Rentheworld members to exchange their properties! How many photos should I add and how long should be the description?

Vacation Rentals by Rentheworld strongly suggests to use at least one photo per room or space in the home. As a best practice, do not exceed the limit of twenty photos. The description is a really important part of the property listing. Never use a description less than one hundred words. Describe only the home and the near surroundings. Update the property description every time there is a change in its features.

Where do I find my orders?

You can see your previous orders at any time from your user page. Enter Vacation Rentals by Rentheworld Community using your username or email and the password used during the registration process. Click the My Account link in the right sidebar and then use Orders tab in your account page. You will find a list of your Rentheworld orders with the most important information about them. Choosing one specific order and clicking on its number, you will get more details about it.

How can I become a member?

Joining Rentheworld Community is really simple. From the Home page, click on the central Join Rentheworld image or click on the link Create new account in the left sidebar. Choose a username and specify a valid email address. That's all. The registration is totally free and takes only a minute.

Tell me something about my profile...

After the registration process and the login phase, the user, starting from home page, can click on 'My Account' link in the left sidebar. In the user profile page Rentheworld members have a list of the most important information related on them (their orders, location, personal information, travel experiences and so on) and have a list of link to modify their information or settings. Edit tab let users modify their personal information and settings, included password, profile photo, etc.

How can I invite my friends?

Yes, you can. You can invite all your friends to join Rentheworld community and we encourage you to do so. A bigger community is more interesting and have a lot of important information and fun for all members. To invite your friends, simply use the Invitations tab in your user profile page. Invitations tab let users invite new friends to join Rentheworld community by email. If the selected email address corresponds to an already registered community member, the system will notify about this.

What is My Weather service?

My Weather Service is a simple anf fun utility to control in a while the weather of all your preferred location. This service is really simple to use and you can add as many locations as you want, choosing among those proposed by the system, ordered per country.

Who is a travelmate?

A travelmate is definitely every community members you want contact to share your travel experiences and to ask for useful information for your next vacations. You can find new travelmates by clicking on the 'Find new travelmates' area in the 'Community' section of your user menu. Using the maps interface, you can see Rentheworld community members all over the world, select one of them to see the profile and ask for a travelmate relationship, clicking on the link 'Become USERNAME' travelmate'. The system will generate a request to the selected member and that user will choose to approve or not your offer.

How can I communicate with my travelmates?

Rentheworld gives you two methods to simple communicate with your travelmates. In most cases, the simplest and recommended method is sending a message to one or more users. The system will notify them about the new message, letting them reply you in a while. You can contact your travelmates by email, if it's a formal message or if you want to ask detailed information about online properties or rental conditions, for example.

How can I send a message to one or more community members?

To send a message to one or more members of the community, you can use the messages link in the user menu on the left sidebar. and clicking on write new message tab. Alternatively, you can send a message to a specific member by opening the relative profile and using the link 'Send this user a message'.

How can I contact a member by email?

To contact a member by email you can open the relative profile and use, if available, the Contact tab. Every user can choose to not receive email contacts by community members in the edit page of the profile.

What is a travel diary?

A travel diary is an experience of travel lived by one rentheworld member and shared with the Rentheworld community. Each travel diary is a precious source of information for people who desire to visit the city or place described. Any community member can create an unlimited number of travel diaries and we strongly encourage to do so, to enlarge the information available for the community. Others community members can find all travel diaries using the tabs in upper part of each page and using the map or the list below. They can also leave a comments with other interesting information about the place or with tips and tricks for new vacationers.

How can I write pages of my travel diary?

Creating or updating a travel diary is simple and fast. If you are a registered user, you can login into the system and start creating a new travel diary by clicking on the corresponding button in the 'Community' area of the user menu in the left sidebar. The first important step is to fix a point on the little map presented. It is very important to choose a precise point at the maximum available detail level. You are defining the place your diary will appear on the general map! You will be able to specify information about the place visited, about your trip and a list of photos to upload. An important section to complete is relative to the best and the worst things happened during the journeyThere is also an empty space where you can describe each aspect of your vacations, describing how you get there, your accommodation, the best restaurants and worst restaurants and so on.

What is the importance to have an updated travel diaries section

Creating or updating a travel diary is really important for the community. As the numbers of travel diaries grows up, there will be more and more places to read about and to planning a new vacation to. It's also a big satisfaction to show to your travelmates and friends the number of place you visited and the funny activities you were able to find during your staying. Furthermore, your reputation in the community will grow as the number of your travel diaries and you will have more and more travelmates to count on. Your puslihed properties will be visited much more than others one and your income from renting will grow consequently or you will have a larger choise for your next home exchange.

Feel free to navigate the map and discover new places you have never seen: maybe the destination you are going to find just now is better than one you were thinking on a few days ago. Have you already chosen your destination? Ok, write it in the filter system an read on all the travel diaries of the surroundings. The travel diary search page is available as a tab in the upper part of each page of the site.

What about other members search?

Rentheworld members search is a powerful tool to find the community users all over the world. You have already chosen your destination but you need to know something about the place you are going to visit. You can swear on: nobody knows better than those community members who live there. As the others types of search on the site, also the members search has a map to let you find simply members you are looking for. The next step could be that of asking something to the selected member or add it to your travelmates... Again it's reachable from every page on the site using the 'Find Travelmates' tab.

How to advertise your properties on Rentheworld

Rentheworld let you advertise your vacation rental properties in two simple cost-effective way. First of all you can publish a property listing with a small fee every 6 months . Then you can increase the visibility of your published listing with an upgrade to maximize your web exposure. Every published listing has a duration of its publication and a visibility level.

Property Listing Publication

The minimum publication period is 6 months while the lowest visibility for a published listing is the basic one. You can publish a property listing by adding it to your personal cart and proceeding to a payment for it.

Visibility upgrades

You can buy visibility upgrades to maximize the web exposure of your published listings. There is 1 type of visibility upgrade: the Platinum Bundle. Platinum listings have the highest possible visibility. You can choose between 6 months, monthly or weekly upgrades. For a complete description of the upgrade features, click here

6 months upgrades bundle

You can buy a 6 months upgrades for your listing only as a bundle with the first publication or renewal for the chosen listing. You will get a huge discount on each bundle.

Monthly and weekly upgrades

You can buy monthly or also weekly upgrades for your published listings. The upgrade will be activated as sson the payment is verified. You can buy monthly and weekly upgrades for published listings with an active 6 months upgrade of lower visibility. You cannot buy an new upgrade on a published listing if there is an old active upgrade on it. You cannot buy at the same time two or more upgrades on the same listing.

Publication renewal

You can extend the duration of your published property listing at any time, adding the property to the cart and choosing the 6 months visibility bundle desidered. If you choose, during the renewal process, a 6 months upgrade different from the active one, the new visibility will be active at the expire of the old one.
